This pen was created with wood that is over 50,000 years old. Kauri is an ancient wood that has been harvested from northland of New Zealand. These trees could have been over 1,200 years old before they fell. The logs were preserved in the unique conditions in New Zeland. The wood grains and textures seem to come alive when polished to high levels.
